(This first paragraph was written on 5-26-07)We just got back from Destin today. We left at 4:45am last Saturday morning and drove all day to arrive in the afternoon at our very adorable beach condos. I am proud to say that I am noticebly tan(for me) and I have a tan line where I wear my ring so that's saying somethin'! Of course mom and dad were the first ones to see us and they saw me and smiled and then when Tina walked from behind the car it got a >gasp!!You're SO dark!!< I got "Aww! Your so freckly!" :( Oh well......
The weather was superb the whole time. And the water was perfect the first few days and then turned into a churning mass of killer rolling waves overnight. In fact, Julie and I decided to take a chance at swimming/tumbling at one point, and Julie got caught up in a wave that sent her spiraling towards the shore like a tube sock on the hardcore wash cycle. She lived though, so that's good. :D
I'm happy to say, that I kept with the tradition of getting sick on vacation and managed to pick up a fabulous cold while I was there. Grrrr....

bottom right - It's Tina and I in front of Bass Pro Shop. But hello, I had to have our picture taken in front of the "Hunters" part! :) We both look like goobers and I apparently wanted to make sure everyone knew why we were taking the picture, what with the pointing and all.(what a nerd) Haha
So there you have it. May has been one crazy month. Beale Street Music Fest was the first weekend as I have told you about. The next weekend was the party in Baton Rouge. And at the house we were staying at for the party, we were able to have some good ol' redneck fun shooting cans in a pond and throwing hatchets at a stump(that was a hoot) And then there was Florida! So no one ask me to do anything at least until July, cuz I'm poor as Job's turkey....Arfarf. But ain't it all worth it when I had such a fabulous time!

It's funny, I ALWAYS get a cold when I go to Fl too. What is it with that place? Once, I got such a bad one that I was useless for a solid day and the NEXT day I tried to alleviate it w/ a Tavist-D but that (along with a very strong Margarita) just made me loopy and I remember sitting on the beach in a very surreal state. Sunshine, margaritas and medication...wierd combo.

Ok, that confirms it. I think Florida is cursed. Tina broke out in some insane heat rash all over her body. And Julie gets a rash on her feet that looks the exact same as what Tina gets but only when she goes to Destin beaches....WEIRD!
And yeah, about the same here. I chose TheraFlu during the day and liquor at night but still was left feeling quite loopy myself. I finally broke down and went to the doctor today because I woke up feeling even worse than when I first got it on the trip. He informed me that I've been fighting a nasty sinus infection. My head is doing that great thing where it takes my brain a few seconds to catch up with my eyes. Yay.... Time to start popping meds that sound like they will make me even loopier in the head. :(
Aye me....hey, I wonder if Tina and Julie are allergic to the sand of those respective beaches??? I've heard of that before. After all, it is ground up sea life so maybe they have a topical allergy to something in there.
Yikes.
ARGHH! Nasty rash. In a few of the pictures I look like I have a wicked sunburn, when in fact it is just the nasty inflamed-ness of my rash. GROSS!
It takes a rare breed to go and snort salt water for a week and still manage to get the sinuses infected. Not cool!
Sunshine, margaritas and medication sounds nearly perfect if you asked me. After all, what's the point of vacation if it isn't surreal?
But that rash sounds nasty, and I know Brooke is STILL sick so that really does suck! But at least you all a fun time while there!
How was the ride home? ;) I keed, I keed!
Ashley- sick! That would be such a weird allergy. But hey, it makes sense.
Tina- I know! With all the salt water coming in and out of my sinuses, one would wonder how the heck they could get infected.... Gross
Aaron- Soooo ready to be over this crap! I'm almost positive I should have no nose left after this.... Gross again...
I'm glad that y'all finally got to go and that y'all had a good time. I love the pictures. Y'all look so purdy.
Sounds like a worthwhile trip. Fu with friends- does it get better n that. Anyway hope you get to feelin better, if you need anything we're right around the corner.
