Well, this year's music fest did not disappoint. Of course, nothing will ever top last year and my 5 minutes of fame, but we had a hoot!
Friday- I won two tickets from the radio for this day and was quite excited to get Aaron and the other half of D-n-A in for free. The trip downtown was a bit crazy and we got a late start, but once we got out of the scary Taco Bell alive and then out of the car once we were downtown, we were all excited. Tina and I decided to bust out the crazy rain boots that we had shipped overnight for the occasion. Anyways, as we're walking to one of the stages, channel 13 people call us over and ask if they can interview us about our boots, to which we say, "Heck yes!" We ended up getting a good bit of air time. Boy are we southern!! Yikes! And why did no one inform me that I speak out of the side of my mouth like some cockeyed camel! Retarded!! Anywho, there was no rain because Aaron came with us-haha. Chevelle was awesome as usual. We made our way to the very front where I proceeded to acquire bruised ribs and had an "incident". Tina freaked out and had to be pulled out of the crowd(not due to the incident...or wait....was it??-haha) Our friend B-Rad got my sister and I backstage for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus which was really really cool. I took some pics from the stage on my camera phone. I was sad to say that he kind of sung my favorite song by them through his nose. :/ The evening ended with having a Snake Bite at Dan McGuiness. YUM!
Saturday- This was a FUN day. The ones that stood out to me were Taking Back Sunday, Jacks Mannequin, and um, another one that was quite possibly the best show I've ever seen. I had to use the porta potty several times that day and that was not fun.....but by the second time, I would wait for one that had 1)toilet paper still hanging from the roll dispenser and 2)hand sanitizer. These were hard to come by! >:( ew..... those things will never cease to make me wanna hurl.
Sunday- I was crazy excited about my boy Chris Daughtry and also Barenaked Ladies. I also really wanted to see Hinder, Egypt Central, Papa Roach, and Guster. We had our assembly that day so we got a crazy late start and missed at least two that I wanted to see. It was crazy packed once we finally got in. I hate it when it's like that. Anywho, I had every intention of getting really close for DAUGHTRY so that I could throw myself on the stage...arfarf.....but alas, everyone else had the same idea. :( It was p.a.c.k.e.d. And then my cousin started hyperventilating like Tina does and had to be carried off to an ambulance which was not cool. Tina gets really freaked out too if she gets in a crowd and can't find an out and she will start the same thing which always freaks me out. We did, however get to ride around in an ambulance with some really nice medics who wanted ice cream for their services. And we got a free ride to our car that was parked three million miles away. We were all glad she was ok, but I was mucho sad I missed my shows. There is something that will always prevent me from seeing Egypt Central when they come. That's the second time I've missed seeing them when I was supposed to. :(
But all in all, we had a really really great time. The pic on the left is most of the peeps we went with.
Also, I thought I'd share this redneck squirrel rockin' shot of me with the blog world. (on the right with Tina in the background even though my fat hand is covering up a lot of her face) This is right before Chevelle, shot courtesy of Aaron.

Glad you had a great time! We did too! But I still think you missed the best bands. ;)
Friday Night was the best, well because I was there, and I agree with Ashley: You missed the best bands! haha!
Saturday's description seeme to be lacking some detail......
I still don't know how y'all pulled off Sunday after having SAD, but I'm proud of you for doing it!
I love the pics we got last night after book study. I'm going to scan them in and make them available electronically
Aaron, I agree. Friday was the best day. It was prefect. And I have the bruises to show for it!
Love your post, Moose.
And yes, by Sunday I was spent, burnt out and needing rest. I'm afraid I attacked everyone within striking distance.
Thinking I'll not try for ALL three days next year, especially if, once again, S.A.D. falls on that same weekend.
BTW - I love out shirtless boys in that picture. Too cute.
Heddo-Oh really? Who knew? We have both been compared to Celine Dion in our day. grrrrrr....
Ashley-yup it was as usual a hoot and a half. Glad ya'll had a good time too. :)
Aaron- I know. I started to get fuzzy on the details of everything so I figured it would be better to just go ahead and post it. Yeah, I'm pretty amazed at our going power sometimes myself. But yes, Friday was the ultimate hoot. :)
Tina- I still can't get over your crazy battle wound! Yeesh! And about the shirtless boys.... Poo was concerned about his whiteness me thinks and so he put his shirt back on. If him and Phil had jumped on the bandwagon it would have been really cute. Man, was that day fun!
Brandon's arm is also representing in the far corner. He to should have lost the shirt...LAME!
