Alright. It's definitely time for a new one so I thought I'd let
ya'll know what I'm up to lately. First of all, the assembly hall project is officially over. Have I mentioned how incredible it was to be there working? This project has turned me in to some sort of crazy wanting to go everywhere and help out woman. I just simply loved being around all those good hard working people. And seeing it all come together felt like some sort of crazy modern day miracle. Who would have ever thought that our assembly hall could EVER look this incredible? I mean, it is just stunning. No more 70's ghetto! :D
Secondly, and completely off that subject, I saw Matt Kearney a few days ago. I love this guy. Tina quoted our favorite song he does in a post recently. L.u.r.v.l.y. He put on a great show aside from making eyes at every girl there which tends to annoy me.
Meiko opened up for him and this chick is utterly fantastic! All of us bought her
cd and I have listened to it over and over again. And I got to see Griffin House of whom we also love immensely. He came to the Hard Rock Cafe on Beale. He is
fantabulous. The whole show was on a donation for breast cancer research basis. It was great aside from highly obnoxious couple seated to my right that kept screaming "H yeah! Yeah Griffin!
Whoo!" They also knew every single song and had to sing along and as soon as one started they'd holler out the name of it like none of the rest of us there knew who the heck he even was. But he put on a great show and I got him to sign my autograph book and Brandon and I got our picture with him. He's super nice and seemed to be slightly annoyed with obnoxious couple. And mid show he announced that he had to take a quick break because he was about to pee his pants. Good stuff!
Most of you know, Tina and I have acquired yet another dog. Whoops. But we could not help ourselves from scooping her up. We were leaving work at the assembly hall one day and in the Sears parking lot, we see this little puppy trotting behind these two guys who were extremely annoyed with her presence and proceeded to kick at her every so often when she got too close. And it was a particularly hot day, and any little piece of shade that she could find, she would fall over in and sit for a little while only to get up and run after the guys again when they got to far away. But
anywho, we scooped her up and took her home. Turns out she had the non contagious kind of mange which had caused most of her hair to fall out and she was skin and bones. So after two vet visits and about 5 prescriptions later she is well on her way to recovery. We also bought her a sweet little doggy sweater because since she had no hair, she shivered all the time. She's very adorable. We are currently trying to house train her. And we still have
Fizgig, Mr
Brister, Lil P or whatever pops in my head to call him at the time......and he is getting to be a horse. I mean, this dog has the hugest feet I've ever seen on even a grown dog! But he is blossoming in to one sweet little boy. :) And then of course we have
Posey who rules the roost. She is queen bee and is the best baby ever. I know it's probably far too many for our house, but I sure love all my babies.
Awww.
OH! And last but certainly not least, yesterday was our last official day to use our nasty decaying cats in lab. We had a test on veins, arteries, and the heart. You can just imagine how fun that was. I had to lean in all close to the various cats to see which vein/artery was pinned. I have never been happier to see something go. I'm pretty sure the smell is etched in my nostril hairs......
