So it is just not my day today. I started it off by looking for glass cleaner in the cabinets in the shop and in doing so,slammed both my right ring and middle finger in between a door from each cabinet that wedge themselves together when opened. I dropped my keys and purse and ran into the house crying like a little girl. Now my fingers are looking nice, lovely, red, and swollen. I've been reassured by the two fingers that I do indeed still have a good steady heartbeat.... and I've been having to avoid using them while nailing and most recently re-gluing a broken chair back. Anywho, as I'm scraping the glue off one of the back slats, I go to hold the chair to keep it from sliding with my left hand........and in doing so lo and behold, I tightly secure a wasp in my left palm. He needless to say, was not in to being tied down in a relationship and promptly flew out of my life, leaving me with only a sting of where he had once been. I can't remember ever being stung by anything before but Lord-a-mercy them things hurt!!!!! So my granpa had just walked through our gate, only to be greeted by me starting to weep(for the second time today)as I ran away flailing my left hand. I think this is because I -just- told some friends last night that not much makes me cry. Thank you Murphy.

I forgot what murphy's law was. But nevermind that, what in the world were you thinking that you could cusp a wild wasp in the palm of your hand? Was it your nuerotic balancing act; gate and foot action supremo-super-bionic Brookiness? Wahhhhhh....... Hoycha!!! Well, I hope you have better days.
You looked pretty good when I saw you today. Never would have known you had been bashing yourself all over.
I got stung by one of those wasps a year or so ago. My arm went numb for like 3 hours. I thought for sure I was going to die!
Poor Brookie. I am sorry for laughing but it is kind of funny. I hope your hands are better now.
It reminds me of my kids. They are constantly molesting the bees that are always on the salvia plants in our front flowerbed. Ava almost grabbed one yesterday as she was saying "Buzzzzz, ouch!", and as Colton is beating the plants with his tractor to see if they would indeed sting him.

I felt like a little girl at the bookstudy a few weeks ago when I giggled when they read, "Rising up to the booty". I was so glad I didn't raise my hand to read that scripture, I would have definately embarrassed myself indeed. I don't know which is worse that one or the "Lovable hind".
ONly you could manage to grab a wasp that is just sitting there minding it's own waspy business, maybe taking a break from a hard wasp day.

Tina, yes. I was so proud of my Matrix-like, wasp grabbing abilities. And yes, a hard waspy day minding his own waspy business.. Uh huh.. You go take your pills now..... :P
