I'm Goin Old School

So I too, have felt the need to put a video on my blog being all the sudden excited about my fellow bloggers ones. But first, here is a fun little list of the shows I loved when I was a kid/youngerish person in no particular order.

1. Inspector Gadget (this ran from 83-86!) "Doo da doodadoo inspector gadget...hah hah!!"

2. Legends of the Hidden Temple (not a cartoon-but I luuuved this one) Featuring your good friends Kirk Fogg and Olmeck the rock head

3. Fraggle Rock(83-87) "Oooooh! A Fraggle! huh huh...Look ma! I got a Fraggle!"

4. The Littl' Bits(91-95)

5. Tiny Toon Adventures(90-92)"We're tiny, we're tooney, we're all a little looney. We're tiny toons adventures. Come and join the fun........and now our song is done."

6. Aaahh!! Real Monsters(94-98)

and finally..........
7. Ren and Stimpy(91-98) "I'll teach your grandmother to suck eggs!"

And a video for anyone out there that's not happy enough:
may it be stuck in your head too

You are so not allowed to make fun of my nerdy lists ever again!

Of course for me, going old school would include Voltron, Transformers, Challenge of the Super Friends, Star Blazers, and the original Looney Tunes!

Tiny Toons beat out Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain? I'm a little disappointed there.

Oooo, Turbo! I forgot about 'Our Starblazerrrrs!' I watched that alot.

So here's a little bit of trivia...Do you know what 'holly jolly' actor Ren was supposed to be modeled after? Those two lines from the 'happy happy joy joy ' song...'I tol you I'd shoot...the little creatures of nature, they don't know they're ugly...I'll teach your grandmother how to suck eggs' are all from the movie, The Big Country starring Burl Ives. When I first heard the song I was like wha??? I've been an avid lover of The Big Country since I was a kid.

And Tiny TOons was awesome! Did you ever see the feature length movie they did called 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation'? When my friend would come over as a teen, we actually RENTED that thing repeatedly. SOOOOO funny!

Yes, I know. I know. I did love the original Looney Tunes too. And I never got in to Pinky and the Brain actually. I did like the song though. And some annoying dude at Midtown used to call me Pinky cuz I blushed alot and it ticked me off.....oh well. But yea, I watched Animaniacs as well. I was a cartoon lovin' fool.

I always wondered what the heck that was talking about on that part. Awesome!

WOw!

I think an important point of note is that you watched said shows whilst eating and order of seasoned fries from Bryant's.

And you also liked that show with the little australian Dingo, or uh, some critter like that.

Ah yes, 'Rocko's Modern Life'. That WAS a good one. I forgot about 'Doug' too.

As for the seasoned fries....yes..that's probably very true, either that, or a frozen Snickers. I will miss those fries until the day I die. As I've stated many a time before, it's no wonder I was a beefy child.
